Swimming Sheep
I now live near the beach. I haven't done anything to make this room my own, besides sticking a Green Day poster on wall which only seems to confirm my immaturity.

I went to our Christmas party last Thursday. I got drunk for the first time in close to 2 years. I was just as charming as I remember. I ignored the guy who likes me and was ignored by the guy I like. Instant karma.linklinklink And now my time off is filled with worry of what it will be like to go back to work with these people I wonder if are still my friends.linklinklink

More of my time is spent worrying about an important package I should have gotten in the mail by now.linklinklink Fuckity fuck fuck! I am convinced Australia Post is out to FUCK me.linklinklink Mommy Dearest tells me posties steal things all the time.linklinklink Can this really be a reality? Do waiters spit in food?

The remainder of my time is spent at the beach.linklinklink I swim by myself and the lifeguards find it necessary to drive their 4WD to the shoreline and tell me to swim between the flags.linklinklink It angers me to no end.linklinklink I try to explain to [anyone who'll listen] that it's nature and they don't own it and how fucking dare they, but I just come off sounding like some aging hippie liberal douche.linklinklink

Douches Wild,

Hello from silent land!

I've taken a self imposed hiatus from LJ to deal with some serious emotional things that have come up and now that I've begun to get a handle on them, I'll try to catch up with you.

It's a nice quiet sunday morning here, the snow is coming down at an impressive clip. We're supposed to get anywhere between 8 and 15 inches of snow, depending on which channel of television we're watching. I took the dogs out to the parking lot for their morning winkie, and they were in dog heaven. These guys LOVE snow, there was a lot of romping and trying to bite the snowflakes as they came down.

I have a cold, or perhaps, STILL have a the cold that I had three weeks ago that kept me out of work for one day. Ugh. It's just reared it's ugly head again.

The school I'm working at offered me a job in the office that I work in, I have decided to take it, it just doesn't get much better than working there, the pay sucks (it's academia) but the benefits and the environment are great.

The divorce is coming along nicely, Gary has signed the first draft of papers, and now it's my turn to look them over.

Then we'll be done!

I can't wait, I feel a little sad over the loss of the relationship, but really the last 5 years I was just biding my time until Hannah turned 18, so it really is the best for us to end it now.

Anyway, things are good here.linklinklink I work every week day, I love what I do.linklinklink I come home and do a little cleaning, and then relax with Danny in the evenings after supper.linklinklink Then I sleep.linklinklink On Saturdays I deep clean, and do laundry, and Sunday I deep clean the top floor (which is just a really good vacuuming and a dusting) and finish the laundry.linklinklink

Job offers for Danny are starting to roll in, there are several very interesting ones that are coming in, and we were considering making a trip, but now that Molly has kennel cough, I need to find a sitter for them to come stay full time with the dogs.linklinklink Ugh.linklinklink

It's been a while. So much has changed, some good and some bad, but overall I am extremely HAPPY. That's enough for now. Oh and I'm nicely tanned from my trip to PR.
